Hotels, B&B and Hostels in Prague
Prague is a popular destination which is reflected in the number of hotels, boutique hotels, B&B’s, guesthouses and apartments. They cover a wide range from meticulously restored historic houses to renovated communist era blocks of flats. They run the gamut from luxurious to modest, from Art Nouveau architecture to socialist-realist. Finding a hotel at a bargain price is easiest in the months of February, March and November when the tourist crowd is a mere trickle.
Prague offers plenty of top-end hotels often housed in nineteenth-century mansions. They combine old charm with the luxury of today. Many are located in the Mala Strana and Stare Mesto districts. The Vinohrady district is a good choice for modestly priced hotels whereas Zizkov and Holesovice districts abound in budget hotels, hostels and B&Bs. These suburbs are well served by metro and tram lines.
Accommodation near Old Town Square is in the hub of everything and prices reflect this. The quietest neighbourhoods are Mala Strana and Hradcany. Hotels near Wenceslas Square are in the middle of the shopping area and nightlife.
Prague is a favourite destination all year round. Book ahead for a stay from April to September and during the Christmas periods.
