Globe Bookstore – Coffee and Books

Globe Bookstore in Prague is not only famous for its collection of English language books but also for brunch on Saturday and Sunday and coffee any day of the week. The café is WiFi-friendly. Most days you can join one of the events from ‘happy hour’ to ‘book reading for the kids’. Sip your coffee and enjoy your breakfast or lunch in this 130-year old building that oozes with charm.

Booklovers love Globe Bookstore. View and browse 10,000 new and second-hand books. You are sure to find that book you have been looking for and never found so far. It is not just quantity that makes this shop so popular, it is also quality. All genres are represented; from romantic fiction to autobiography and from the classics to modern writers. You will find here a large collection of magazines: English, American, French, German, Spanish and Russian.

Food and Coffee

Not only can you satisfy your reading hunger, The Globe is also a friendly cafe. It is the only place in Prague where you can eat a full English breakfast with sausages, bacon, brown hash and baked beans. On Saturday and Sunday brunch is served until 4 pm. The Globe café has a tantalizing lunch menu which includes Greek salad with feta cheese and Kalamata olives, Mexican burritos and spicy Thai chicken.

Be sure to check the events list. Every day Happy Hour at 5 pm. Most Wednesdays evenings at 8 pm is quiz night, Saturdays at 7 pm karaoke. Every Sunday at 11 am it is story reading time for the kids.
