Entertainment and Nightlife in Prague

Prague is the party city of Europe. Nightlife is fun, relaxed and safe. Gigs are set up in discos and clubs in the New Town and Old Town districts from jazz to hip-hop and from rock to retro. Major bands include the city in their tours. Opera lovers should attend a performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni which is always on the repertoire in the Estates Theater where this opera was first staged in 1887.

If you want to mix with the locals, head for the clubs, cafés and bars in the Vinohrady and Holesovice districts. Large venues are held at the O2Arena but if it classical music you are after be sure to go to a concert in the Rudolfinum or a ballet or opera performance in the National Theatre. Cafés, beer gardens and wine bars are open until late and are popular hangouts.
