Coffee and Cakes

There is a snag. Your second honey cake may taste completely different from the first and that is no coincidence.

Medovník and Marlenka
The serving staff makes no distinction between Medovník and Marlenka and name both honey cake. But these two types taste completely different.

How to distinguish between Medovník and Marlenka?
Marlenka and Medovník look almost the same, both consist of several layers and a cream filling but the shape and taste are different.
Medovník is a round cake and you are served a wedge.
Marlenka is rectangular and you get a square piece.
Medovník has a cream filling consisting of one part whipping cream and sour cream, sugar and vanilla.
Marlenka has a cream filling made of butter, sweetened condensed milk and caramel.
The cream filling of Medovník is whitish and Marlenka more brown in colour. Medovník tastes less sweet than Marlenka.

Where to buy Medovník?
