You can go for a simple one topped with tomato, cheese and basil or very rich one with cream, cheese, salami, spinach, egg and chili peppers. The menu features delicious dishes such as carpaccio classico and formaggi misti, tomato minestrone soup, spaghetti agli scampi and gnocchi alla toscana, as well as meat dishes such as steak with roasted asparagus and marinated spare ribs served with garlic pizza.

Getting there

Budget Italian Ristorante Carmelita is located at the foot of Petrin Hill in the Mala Strana district in central Prague. Carmelita’s sister restaurant is Tex-Mex Cantina, Ujezd street 28, serves dishes from the spicy Mexican kitchen. Be sure to visit the Maria Victoria Church in the same street to admire a statue of Little Jesus who wears different clothes every day.
