Shopping Malls in Prague

Prague scores high on shopping malls. Tucked away in age-old passages and arcades in the Historic Centre and in the New Town district, they are brimful with fashion boutiques, art shops, souvenir outlets, wine shops and a plethora of restaurants and cafés. The generous shopping hours, from 9 in the morning until 9 in the evening, make shopping an around the clock activity. Add to this 24/7 shopping at the supermarket in the Letnany Shopping Centre and you know why shopping in Prague is day filling pastime.

Prague prides itself in more than 30 shopping centres. With 200 shops, Palladium is the largest shopping mall in the centre of the city, on Rebubliky Square. Close to Wenceslas Square is Quadrio, the newest shopping mall, quite modest with only 66 shops. Most malls are in the suburbs but always close to a metro station. Next to Chodov metro station on line C is Chodov Shopping Centre. With 200 shops and 20 restaurants it is a difficult task where to start your shopping experience.
