Shopping Hours in Prague When Are Shops Open

It seems as if the shops in Prague are always open. The shopping hours in Prague are so generous that you never have to wonder whether the shops are open or closed, add to this a number of supermarkets that are open 24/24 and the ‘vercerka’, Vietnamese-run night shops, and you will understand that shopping in Prague is a pleasure! Not only is there a wide range of shops, the opening hours are also very customer-friendly.

Opening Hours of Shops and Supermarkets in Prague
Opening hours in the Mala Strana, Nove Mesto, Josefov and Stare Mesto districts.
*Monday to Friday from 08:00 or 09:00 to 20:00 or 21:00 or 22:00
*Almost all shops are open on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 – 19:00 but there are individual exceptions to this rule
*Supermarkets such as Billa and Albert are open from 07:00 to 21:00 or 22:00 on Sundays from 08:00 and usually until 21:00
Opening hours of shops and supermarkets outside the city centre
*Shops: Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 17:00, Saturday from 09:00 – 12:00 / 13:00 and closed on Sundays.
*Supermarkets: Monday to Sunday 07:00 – 21:00, Sunday 08:00- 20:00
Night Shops and Nonstop Supermarkets
Throughout the city you will find night shops, vecerka in Czech, and non-stop supermarkets. Opening hours are from 17:00 / 18:00 to midnight. Tesco Hypermarket in Letnany Shopping Centre and also in Eden Shopping Centre are open from 06:00 to 24:00. The Manni Mini Market with a number of shops in the centre of Prague are open nonstop.
Opening hours Shopping Malls in the Suburbs
At the last station of almost every metro line there are huge shopping malls that are open seven days a week from 09:00 – 21:00. The supermarkets and hypermarkets and restaurants are usually until 22:00
When Are the Shops Closed?
All shops of 200 square metres or more are obliged to close on national holidays.
