Botanicus for Organic Cosmetics and Toiletries

Botanicus is a Czech retail chain specializing in natural cosmetics. All products are made from plants that grow in their own organic gardens. A visit to the Botanicus shop is worthwhile not only because of the fragrant soaps, hand creams and other products, but also because the interior of the shop is reminiscent of an old-fashioned pharmacy with beautiful wooden cabinets where all products are displayed in colourful packaging.

The World of Plants

The company motto is ‘Botanicus is the world of plants’ and this is clearly visible because all otanicus products are inspired by plants such as the rose, geranium, marigold and lavender and other often medicinal plants.

Cosmetics for Women and Men

Botanticus offers a range of cosmetics like soap, shampoo, perfume, essential oils and massage oils as well as hand and body creams and bath products.

Although cosmetics are usually associated with women, Botanicus also has a product line for men including soap, hand cream and shower gel with masculine scents from juniper, myrrh and geranium.

The Production Garden

The plant garden in the village of Ostra, near the town of Lysa nad Labem is the key to Botanicus’ success. Production, processing, marketing and sales all take place in Ostra.

Botanicus has the entire production line under its own management and can therefore maintain strict quality controls. Since there is no middleman and the products go straight from the garden to the store, the prices remain very affordable for the customer.

100% Organic and Handmade

Organic products are Botanicus’ core values, and this means that the fruits, trees, plants and herbs are grown without the use of chemical additives or industrial fertilizers.

Botanicus uses fresh instead of dried herbs. This is possible because the herbs are grown nearby and processed immediately after harvesting. Making cosmetics is labour intensive and done in small batches by hand. Therefore, it is true to say that all products are handmade.
