Prague Welcome Card: Free Museums and Public Transport
The Prague Welcome Card is your ticket to Prague! It saves you save a lot of hassle and money because this card includes free access to many museums in Prague. Another bonus is that you can travel unlimited on Prague’s public transport, by tram, metro and bus. What’s more, you have skip-the-line access to popular attractions and there is no need to join the long waiting queues.
The Prague Welcome Card is no longer available. A similar card is the Prague Visitor Pass.
How does the card work?
* Purchase the Prague Welcome Card online and you will receive a voucher
* Redeem the voucher at one of the pickup points in Prague
* The card is valid for one year after purchase. The validity starts with the first use of the card and is then valid for three consecutive days.
Pick-up Points in Prague
You can exchange your voucher at one of the following pick-up points in Prague
*Tourist Point Office, Praha Hlavní Nádraží (Central Station), Wilsonova 80
Open: daily 8am to 10pm
*Pulford, 4 Františka Křížka Street, in the Holešovice district
Open: Monday – Thursday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 2pm
Free entry with the Welcome Prague Card
A long list of free museums is included in the Welcome Car. It is hard to choose which ones to visit but be sure to check out one or more of the following: Klemetinum, Loreta, Troja Castle, Kampa Museum, Franz Kafka Museum, National Museum and Smetana Museum. Use your discount voucher for a performance of the Black Light theater Jiří Srnec and also for the Reduta Jazz Club.
You will also receive a mini travel guide with detailed descriptions of several of places of interest in Prague such as the Wallenstein Garden and Palace, the Museum of the Infant Jesus, and Tyn Church on Old Town Square.
